Note to self: Don't travel to
China during the national holidays, when the borders get closed and all the Chinese themselves want to pay a visit to their historical sights. Timing well planned! I definitely felt special in the middle of millions of Chinese families, pointing fingers at us, laughing, shouting, taking pictures and posing with us. Very special indeed! During those few days we could't see any other westerns on the streets and we ended up being homeless once again in the streets of mighty
Beijing.

From the Emperor's Summer Palace
Soon we noticed that the sightseeing was quite impossible. It was queuing and more queuing. But we did some.
Great China wall,
Hidden city and
Tienanmen Square ,
Emperor's Summer Palace and some other famous places. They were all amazing and I hope some day I will have time to go back to see them properly.
Beijing was massive. Getting from one place to another simply with the underground took at least an hour and even the taxi drivers didn't most of the time know where they were supposed to go, map or no map.

Chinese kitchen was mostly delicious. Better than in that corner Chinese restaurant back home. Ordering a meal was always exciting, cause you never knew what will you get. Chinese do use all parts of the animals so everything is possible and even the pictures on the menu can fool you.

Across the street like locals
Nightlife in Beijing was fun. Big metropolitan with loads of neon lighs, traffic and people. Driving from one bar to another with cabs, fancy cocktails and cool Tsing Taos enjoyed in plastic chairs on the street corners. Great fun and good memories.

Good times
Beijing was good. A little bit chaotic and crowded, but good anyways. It was our last stop of the Great Siberian Railway, but not the last stop of our trip. After the capitol it was time to head deeper into China. With train tickets in our pockets we jumped into our next adventure.
